God is still knocking at the door and our ability to respond in a way that is contextual is key. In Quebec we face continued pressures to secularize. Conversation about the benefits of church are a challenge. What can we learn about our context and how does ministry stay relevant in our context today. As we formally review the work we’ve done over the last year and examine our structure\, we will also be learning more about how the law is affecting our work and how we might respond to the needs of the world. The session is on Zoom to be easily accessible to all\, and it’s free. \nWhen I met with Literacy Unlimited to plan this\, I was astounded to learn that people who do not read or write well avoid any situation where they might feel `less than’ — and that there are simple ways we\, as churches\, can be more equitable and welcoming. It was eye-opening. \nEveryone knows someone who lives with low literacy — even if they keep it well hidden.
