HOW TO MINISTER FAITHFULLY AND HOPEFULLY IN A POST-CHRISTENDOM CHURCH?
In a time when fewer and fewer people join church communities and support ministries, this will be an opportunity for church leaders to come together, to playfully express their joys and frustrations, and to find hope and strength for the journey. Through creative arts, movement and the connection with our life experiences, we will bring a biblical story to life and let it speak to us in new ways. Good news will emerge. The facilitator Rev. Angelika Piché has trained in the European holistic method of “Bibliodrama” and will offer this inspiring approach to Bible interpretation at our retreat. All you need to bring is curiosity and comfortable clothing.

📍 Shalom House, Alexandria, Ontario
📅 October 20th to 22nd. Tuesday–Thursday
🕓 Arrival: 4:00 p.m. Tuesday
🕒 Departure: 3:00 p.m. Thursday

The retreat includes:
- Two nights’ accommodation
- Two breakfasts
- Two dinners
- Three lunches
- Time for rest, reflection, prayer, and fellowship
Habitat Restoration
- Single room: $475
- Shared room: $400
Transportation is not included.
A formal receipt can be provided by the Nakonha:ka Regional Council, and congregational continuing education funds can usually be used toward the cost of the retreat.

Limited Spaces Available
There are a maximum of 25 spaces, depending on accommodation arrangements.
Priority will be given to ministry personnel who have not previously participated in this type of retreat. After that priority, registrations will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
Because spaces are limited, we encourage you to register as soon as possible.If the retreat reaches capacity, a waiting list will be available.
Registration & Cancellation
Registration will remain open until October 1, 2026, subject to availability. Please note that fees are due two weeks prior to the retreat and are non-refundable.
Your registration is only confirmed once both your space and accommodation have been confirmed. Please contact the retreat organizers before submitting payment, as spaces are limited and accommodation availability may change: Nakonhaka@united-church.ca
