Brian Ruse is the Finance and Office Administrator for Conseil régional Nakonha:ka Regional Council (Region 13). His primary responsibilities are the management of Region 13 finances and providing administrative support for meetings of Finance & Property, Mission Support, Bursary and Sabbatical Leave teams, and the Finance & Extension Board.
More specifically, Brian’s role is to:
Provide management (accounting support) of Region 13 finances
- Prepare requisitions for and send all Region 13 cheques and charitable receipts
- Receive and deposit all Region 13 receipts
- Post all Region 13 transactions to Sage accounting software
- Provide regular financial reports and monthly bank reconciliations
Provide administrative support to Region 13 Mission Support and Bursary Committees
- Ensure current application forms are distributed
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is received to support grant applications (e.g. financial statements, reports of activities) and follow up if applications are not complete
- Compile and assemble all proposal materials in preparation for review by the Committee
- Make all meeting arrangements with applicants
- Prepare and distribute letters to applicants informing them of funding decisions
- Distribute cheques (quarterly for Mission Support)
Provide administrative support to Trust and Funds (Erskine & American Mountainside, F.W. Kelley, Good Samaritan, Trois Rivières, Bhal-Yun, Grand-Mère, etc.)
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is received to support grants
- Distribute cheques as required
Provide administrative support for the issuance of F & E Board Sabbatical and Bursary grants
- Ensure current application forms are distributed
- Ensure that appropriate documentation is received to support grants (transcripts, etc.)
