Celebrating ministry — past, present, and future
Come gather with us for a special service celebrating the many ways ministry continues to grow and take shape across the United Church.
This service will welcome and recognize new ministry personnel through ordination, commissioning, and admission, while also honouring retirements, significant ministry milestones, and the lives of ministers who have died over the past year.
It is a moment to celebrate the people who are stepping into new chapters, honour those who have faithfully served, and give thanks for the legacies that continue to shape our communities. Together, we’ll worship, reflect, give thanks, and look with hope toward the future of ministry.
Who is welcome?
Everyone! Whether you are a minister, lay leader, family member, friend, congregational member, or simply someone who wants to celebrate and support those called to ministry, you are warmly invited.
Ministers Getting Ordained
Marie Silvenie Chery
I am Marie Silvenie Chéry, the one whom God’s grace guides and consecrates day by day. Through joys, challenges, and seasons of discernment, the Lord has taught me to walk with trust, guided by the Scripture that accompanies me: “Go in the strength you have.” By the Spirit’s leading, I have been given the grace to accompany people in a holistic way—body, soul, and spirit. Each day is a gift and a sign of God’s goodness, to which I respond with gratitude. My calling is to serve with humility, compassion, and faithfulness, so that the love of Christ may be lived, shared, and embodied for the glory of God and the building up of the Church.
