The West Island LGBTQ2+ Centre marked the 10th anniversary of its opening with an outdoor reception on September 26, 2021, including a tour of the Centre, a BBQ, rainbow cupcakes, and speeches by Director David Hawkins, Rev. Shaun Fryday, community leaders, community partners and elected officials. The Centre started as an outreach ministry of Beaconsfield United Church, and continues to be one of the very few services to the LGBTQ2+ community in the West Island.Learn more:...
